It’s a well known fact that walking, espeically at a faster pace, can strengthen your heart. What better way to visualise this then to install live speedometers that measure the walking pace of pedestrians walking past the unit.
New York bus shelters in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens were fitted out with doppler hardware. The live data from this hardware was then fed in to software installed on a small computer and displayed on the screens.
